Farewell Tour for Simply Red

Since their establishment in 1985, Simply Red has gained popularity and stardom through hit releases such as Money’s Too Tight To Mention, Holding Back The Years and Stars. Albums such as Picture Book and A New Flame saw to it that millions of copies flew off the shelves and secured the band’s position within the entertainment industry. Now, twenty-five years later, the band has decided to call it a day, with the Simply Red Farewell Tour being the last time they will be performing live in front of audiences.

Vans Warped Tour 2010

The summer installment of the Warped Tour 2010, sponsored again by Vans Shoes, will take place for the 16th year and will kick off on 25 June 2010. It is a tour that consists of no less than 43 concert dates, and a variety of bands and artists have been confirmed to participate in this vibrant event. Over the years, the Warped Tour has gained popularity, as it brings numerous bands together and offers audience members a unique experience at each of the different stages. The tour will run until the 15th of August 2010, and three of the tour dates are in Canada, while the rest are spread across the United States.

The Wall Anniversary Tour

The English rock bank Pink Floyd was established in the 1960s, and consisted of band members Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Syd Barrett and Nick Mason. Their progressive rock music took the world by storm, and they achieved fame through albums such as Animals (1977), The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967), Wish You Were Here (1975) and The Wall (1979). The original The Wall tour took place thirty years ago, but is still remembered with great fondness by fans all over the world.

Peter Steele: The Life of a Goth Metal Legend

Petrus T. Ratajczyk was born into a devout catholic family, in New York, on the 4th of January 1962. He grew up with five older sisters, enjoying a normal childhood playing football in the streets with his friends, and in his later years still finding pleasure in jogging, swimming and hockey. But life as an everyday citizen was not what his future held, as he discovered his talent for music and his natural ability to compose songs. He was to become a legend in the Gothic Metal music industry, and an icon to many around the world.

Music World Loses Goth Legend Peter Steele

On Thursday the 15th of April, the Gothic metal music industry were shocked with the sad news of Peter Steele's passing late Wednesday night. The cause of death has still not been confirmed, but all signs point to a possible heart failure. The 48 year old composer, lead singer and bassist of popular Gothic Rock/Metal band, Type O Negative, left behind a musical legacy that any musician would be proud of. Type O Negative found their place in the music industry in the heavy metal, rock and Gothic metal genres throughout the 90's and became widely popular around the world. His contributions to the band and Gothic metal will never be forgotten and will live on through his music.
