Buffalo Springfield Tour

The word is finally out. What started out as rumors has now been confirmed. Buffalo Springfield fans can ready themselves for a historic tour and magnificent performances by this talented group of musicians. The entire original band will not be able to participate in the tour, but Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Neil Young will be in the front line. It will be the first time since 1968 that the band will be performing together again under the name Buffalo Springfield.

The band Buffalo Springfield was established in 1966, consisting of Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Richie Furay, Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin. Unfortunately the group was also notorious for their constant fighting and member changes and the band came to an abrupt end in 1968. The main members remained Neil Young, Richie Furay and Stephen Stills. The hit song they were remembered for was For What It's Worth, and they did have some influence on the 1960s music industry during their short existence.

Some of the members of Buffalo Springfield did still find success. Neil Young embarked on a solo career, while Stephen Stills teamed up with Graham Nash and David Crosby to form Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Only dates for the Buffalo Springfield tour in California have been released so far. The missing members of the band will be filled by Joe Vitale as drummer and Rick Rosas as bassist. Richie Furay commented: "It's hard to believe 42 years have passed since we played together as the Buffalo Springfield. Over the years, music never stopped flowing from each of us, and it's come 'full circle', if you will. And now, we get to share our hearts with you again — yes, Buffalo Springfield again!"
