Creamfields DJ Competition – Get Heard!

Creamfields has launched a nationwide competition that will give one innovative DJ an incredible opportunity to perform alongside a host of legendary DJs including Paul van Dyk, Fatboy Slim, Tiesto, 2Many DJs, Erick Morillo, Sasha and Paul Oakenfold. Hosted by Creamfields and MySpace, the DJ competition runs from 26 June through to 3 pm on Friday 25 July 2008.

The Creamfields DJ competition is the perfect opportunity for the next DJ superstar to shine. Both MySpace and Creamfields are recognized as providing influential platforms for talented new artists. In today’s cyperspace world, there is no longer the need for an artist to pay his/her dues by slogging from club to club in the hopes of being discovered. MySpace has been credited with putting hundreds of artists, such as Lily Allen and Arctic Monkeys, under the spotlight, catapulting them to stardom. From the very beginning, Creamfields has been committed to supporting emerging musical talent and there is no doubt that the DJ to win the competition is headed for the big time.

The way the competition works is that entrants must upload a thirty minute “Creamfields Guest Mix” to their MySpace profile and send their MySpace link to info@cream.co.uk under the headline “Creamfields DJ Competition”. A panel of industry experts will narrow the entries down to a shortlist of ten finalists, which the public can vote for at www.myspace.com/officialcreamfields. The DJ with the most votes will appear at the 2008 Creamfields festival.

Creamfields was launched in 1998, with the first festival taking place in Winchester, attracting a crowd of more than 25,000 music-lovers. Since then, Creamfields has gone on to take its place among the top five festivals in the United Kingdom, drawing crowds of more than 40,000. The August Bank Holiday program is jam packed with action, as audiences dance the hours away to music provided by live acts and world class DJs.

Following its success in the UK, Creamfields Ireland was launched, followed by Creamfields Argentina. To date Creamfields is enjoyed by dance and music fans in more than fifteen countries including, Portugal, Spain, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Poland, Czech Republic, Ireland and Argentina. Don’t miss out on your chance to stand up and be noticed at the 2008 Creamfields festival.
