Huge Names & Exceptional Music at 2008 Bonnaroo

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is a multi-stage camping festival held in June each year on a beautiful 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, USA. This four day gathering of musicians and music-lovers is set to take place from 12 to 15 June 2008. Some of the world’s best performers in rock and roll, jazz, Americana, electronica, hip hop and more will be entertaining, and being entertained, at 2008 Bonnaroo.

The 100-acre entertainment area of Bonnaroo 2008 will be humming with activity 24/7 as festival-goers enjoy the music, craft market, comedy club, on-site cinema, theater performances, beer festival and the latest in music technology. With an on-site hair salon, regular yoga classes and an activities area for kids, it seems that organizers have thought of everything to keep festival goers happy.

The Bonnaroo music line-up includes Metallica, Pearl Jam, Death Cab for Cutie, Kanye West, B.B.King, Willie Nelson, The Allman Brothers Band, Talib Kweli, Drive-by Truckers, My Morning Jacket, Pat Green, Ozomatli and much more.

Spectators at Bonnaroo can look forward to seeing a completely different side of the English rock singer/songwriter that rose to fame as the lead singer of Led Zeppelin, as he teams up with a talented bluegrass country singer/fiddle player. The unlikely collaboration of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss received rave reviews for their album “Raising Sand”, which debuted at # 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, when released in October 2007 and Bonnaroo will get to see why.

Led Zeppelin may be in the past for Robert Plant, but all-girl rock band “Lez Zeppelin” is paying ongoing homage to the legendary band at sold-out venues across the USA and will be showcasing their talent at Bonnaroo. A talented musician in his own right, Dweezil Zappa plans to show audiences why his father’s music is still very relevant in today’s world with “Zappa plays Zappa” – a seven piece ensemble dedicated to keeping Frank Zappa’s music alive. Singer/songwriter Jakob Dylan (youngest son of Bob Dylan) will be appearing at Bonnaroo with his newly formed band, the Gold Mountain Rebels.

The Bonnarroo Music and Arts Festival has earned a reputation for being a high-spirited, yet peaceful, festival, offering unrivaled entertainment options enjoyed by thousands. Make sure that you don’t miss the 2008 Bonnaroo experience.
