Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour

Madonna fans around the world are already grinning from ear to ear at the news that the material girl will be going on tour this August. The Sticky & Sweet Tour will be focused mainly on European and American audiences and looks set to be mind-blowing and brilliant.

The decision to progress with her next world tour comes in the wake of the success enjoyed by Hard Candy: Madonna’s latest chart topper which debuted at Number 1 across the world. The Sticky & Sweet Tour is set to begin in Cardiff, Wales, on August 23 before it starts hopping around Europe, making major stops in London and Paris along the way. On 3 October the tour will cross oceans and make its way to New Jersey where the pop star will perform at the Izod Center in East Rutherford. This will be followed by a visit to Madison Square Garden in New York and performances in Chicago, Lost Angeles, and Boston, among others. She will also spend time performing in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in the Canadian leg of the tour. The entire tour will come to a spectacular end at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami on November 26. According to the official press-release, there may be further performances in Mexico and parts of South America as well, but information on these has not yet been released.

If you’re a big Madonna fan and are a member of her Icon fan club, you will likely already be getting ready to purchase your tickets from the 12th of May. However, if you are not part of the fan club you may have to wait a little longer before you can get your seat. Tickets for the general public for concerts in London, Paris, Cardiff and Nice will start May 16 and Most of the American tickets will be available from May 19. The tour is particularly appealing to fans as Madonna will be playing in a number of cities where she has not staged a performance in more than fifteen years. The Sticky & Sweet tour will be directed by collaborator Jamie King who has been working with Madonna for a long time. The musical director for the tour will be Kevin Antunes.
