New Orleans Voodoo Music Experience 2008

Each year thousands of music fans gather at City Park in New Orleans to make the most of the New Orleans Voodoo Music Experience. This year’s Voodoo Music festival is set to take place from October 24 to 26, just one week before Halloween, according to the festival’s tradition.

The Voodoo Experience is simply something you will not experience anywhere else. Not only does the eerie pre-Halloween atmosphere provide a somewhat unique backdrop to the festivities, but this annual event sees a large number of top artists gathering in one place to give fans the concert experience of a lifetime. In the nine years that the concert has been running, the Voodoo Music Experience has hosted well over 450 different artists and it has also seen almost a million fans gather to enjoy these stellar performances. The festival is so good that it has been nominated for the Pollstar’s Music Festival of the Year award on two different occasions. Clearly this Louisiana music festival is worth every cent spent on it.

The 2008 Voodoo Music Experience promises to be amazing. With a line-up of the greatest and latest there is sure to be something available for every member of the public. Fans can look forward to seeing legendary groups like R.E.M., Nine Inch Nails and the Stone Temple Pilots. But the fantastic line-up certainly doesn’t end there. Panic At The Disco, Wyclef Jean, Joss Stone, Death Cab For Cutie, Erykah Badu and Cold War Kids will also be moving audiences at the festival. Lil Wayne is a recent addition to the line-up and there are more than seventy other performers and acts lined-up over the course of the tree-day event.

The New Orleans Voodoo Festival is split into three main sections: Le Ritual section, which will focus on more mainstream music; Le Flambeau section, which is where home grown sounds will vibrate the stage; and Le Carnival, which is where indie bands, burlesque shows and circus acts add a little spicy flavor to the event. This legendary music festival has been steadily going from strength to strength since its inception in 1999 and each year has been bigger and better than the last. Make sure that you don’t miss out on all the excitement and get yourself to the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans, Louisiana, this October!
