Taos Solar Music Festival, New Mexico

This year will see the 9th annual Taos Solar Music Festival held in the Kit Carson Memorial Park in downtown Taos. The festival usually brings a large international community of music lovers to this great city where they can mix with locals and enjoy an absolutely fabulous line-up of top-notch musicians. The festival combines interactive alternative energy displays with stunning views and great music – the perfect combination for a radical and memorable music festival. The Taos Solar Music Festival will take place between the 27th and 29th of June and gates will open at 10:30 every day.

Festival accommodation takes various forms and fans will be able to choose between camping and getting a room at one of the lodges or inns in Taos. The concessions stands will offer a wide variety of tasty snacks where you can satisfy your appetite and buy refreshments. For those who prefer to come prepared, you are allowed to take your own bottled water as long as the seals are unbroken. The Solar Village will be the place to go if you want to learn more about the various community-driven initiatives that have been set up in conjunction with the festival.

Prices are affordable and tickets are exchanged for wristbands at the front gates. Tickets are non-refundable and the show will go on regardless of the weather, so remember to pack in sun block, raincoats, a variety of clothing and stock up on liquids. Children under ten years of age will be able to get in for free.
