2010 Voodoo Festival
The Voodoo Festival is a musical extravaganza that many look forward to every year. Organizers have confirmed a superb line-up of artists and musicians for the 2010 event, and it will be hosted in the in one of the most creative and artistic cities in the world, namely New Orleans. City Park will be the venue for the 2010 Voodoo Festival, which will be held from 29 October to 31 October, over the Halloween Weekend. Combining the thrill and excitement of this holiday with breathtaking performances, is a wonderful way to spend the weekend.
Even though big international names will be gracing the stages of the Voodoo Festival, many local acts and performers from Louisiana have been included in the line-up. Some of the acts to look forward to include Weezer, Muse, Ozzy Osbourne, Paul van Dyk, Metric, Galactic with Guests, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Cage the Elephant, Ferry Corsten, Innerpartysystem, Die Antwoord, Janelle Monae, Eagles of Death Metal, Buckwheat Zydeco, Afrojack, Crookers, The Airborne Toxic Event, Minus The Bear, Paul Oakenfold, Jonsi, Hot Chip, Interpol, Orleans Avenue, Trombone Shorty and much more. Each day of the festival will offer a new musical delight, and when not playing at the festival many of the bands will be performing at venues across the city, such as The Howlin Wolf, House of Blues and Tipitinas. In other words, live music and dancing will be available throughout the entire weekend. Children are also welcome at the Voodoo Festival, with a special area set aside for them called the Vooboo. Here children can enjoy arts and crafts activities, educational facilities, face painting, Hula Hoop sessions, surprise artists visits and the Rock Star Hair Salon. This area allows children to have fun and be entertained while their parents enjoy the Voodoo Festival concerts. Free entry is given to children under the age of ten.
Tickets to this unforgettable event have already gone on sale, and festival goers will be able to choose from various ticket options.
