Movement Electronic Music Festival 2010
Detroit will be filled with the sound of music and excited audience members at the Movement Electronic Music Festival, which will be held from the 29th to the 31st of May 2010. The festival is produced by Paxahau, and has been produced by them for the last five years. Previously known as the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, this music extravaganza has remained one of the most anticipated music events of the year, as it attracts thousands of visitors and musicians from all over the world. Having the festival in Detroit is symbolic to the fact that it is believed to be the city where the techno music genre originated from.
One of the international performers to have confirmed his presence at the Movement Electronic Music Festival is Ricardo Villalobos. He was not scheduled to perform in the United States this year, so his appearance at the festival is a unique experience, as the last time he performed in Detroit was in 2002. He is known in the music industry as one of the leading minimal techno and microhouse DJs, and his performance is guaranteed to by explosive. Ghostland Observatory, a duo focusing on genres such as rock, funk and electro, will also be on stage, as well as the Berlin group Booka Shade. Music enthusiasts will also be able to move to the beats of performers such as Jamie Jones, DJ Hype, A-Trak, Jennifer Xerri, DJ Sneak, Kenny Larkin, Claude VonStroke, Punisher, Theo Parish, Onur Ozer, Kyle Hall, Minx, K-Hand, Radio Slave, Dan Bain, Michael Meyer, Motel Connection, Jeff Risk, Patrice Scott, Kenneth Thomas, Barem, Woody McBride, Derrick May, DJ Marco Carola, Rob Hood, Rolando, Pretty Lights and much more.
Approximately a hundred artists will be performing at this year’s Movement Electronic Music Festival, offering thirty-six hours of non-stop entertainment. Ticket prices to this breathtaking event start at $55 for the weekend, while VIP tickets will be available at $150 per ticket. VIP tickets will give festival goers access to all four stages, private bar, private check in point, private bathrooms and a special VIP area. It will also be the tenth anniversary for the festival, which is going to be a celebration and a magnificent event that no-one should miss out on.
