Fantastic Entertainment at the Offset Festival

Approximately thirty minutes outside of London, lies the magnificent Hainault Forest. Amongst the picturesque lakes, endless woodland and diverse wildlife, the forest will be transformed into a musical extravaganza for two days on the 30th and 31st of August 2008. The Offset Festival will once again bring music of all genres to the Hainault Forest and, as in previous years, the organizers have ensured that the lineup of entertainment and bands is as star studded and electrifying as can be expected.

Thousands of spectators attend the Offset Festival, as there is something for everyone. It is the opportunity for new bands to introduce and expose themselves to the public, while the bands and musicians that inspired them also take to the stage. With more than a hundred and fifty confirmed performances taking place on seven stages, visitors are in for a real treat. And the selected new bands for the 2008 Offset Festival are guaranteed to impress.

The Main Stage will host a variety of indie and art rock performances by bands such as Gang of Four, Math Class, Wire and Fight Like Apes. Enjoy Destroy, To The Bones, We Are The Ocean and Midnight Arcade can be seen on the Rock Stage that will host rock and hard rock, while indie, rock, acoustic and experimental bands, including the sounds of Chrome Hoof, Gloria’s Cycles and Drum Eyes can be heard on the Last FM Stage. Post-punk, experimental, electronic and noise will be resonating from the Experimental Circle Club stage with bands such as Ipso Facto, Ulterior and The Violets. Colin’s Tent will host artists such as Tom Mcrae, Exit Calm and Chinestyle, as this stage will concentrate on acoustic, folk, electronic and rock. Metal and rock fans will be able to find great bands such as Junior Victors, Queer Charlie and The Rileys on the Musictec Stage. The Girlcore Stage will have the bands such as Little Boots, Warboy and Harry James turning up the heat in the house, baile funk and electro genres. But it is the New Bands Stage that everyone will be checking out, to hear the new talents in electronic, alternative and rock and will feature twenty-three bands including, Underground Railroad, Baddies, The Ghost Frequency, Hoodlums, 4 Or 5 Magicians, LevelLoad and More. Other well known bands will include Young Knives, Blood Red Shoes, The Maccabees, Prinzhorn Dance School, Johnny Foreigner, Glam Chops, Brigade, Fightstar and Hannah Holland.

The Offset Festival will provide festival goers with a campsite to stay at for the weekend, food stalls, a rare-breeds farm, kids area, art stalls and funfair. It is a festival for the entire family to enjoy and combines great music, with fantastic facilities.
