Kate Nash hit the music industry scene in 2006, and through determination and hard work she has established herself as a talented songwriter and vocalist. She focuses on the music genres of Indie-pop and anti-folk music and has a loyal following of fans and supporters. Nash is also an accomplished musician, with instruments such as bass, keyboard and guitar amongst of her list of talents. Music enthusiasts have been extremely excited since her October tour was confirmed, and dates to her musical performances were recently released.
Born on 6 July 1987, Kate Nash showed an interest in music from a very young age. Taking music lessons and studying theatre at a performing arts academy in London, Nash tried gaining entry to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Unfortunately, after falling down a flight of stairs and injuring her ankle, she was unable to enter, leaving her at home surrounded by her instruments and time on her hands. She began reworking old songs she had written, starting new songs, and made the decision to exhibit her talents in a local establishment. In 2007 she found herself second on the UK charts, and collected a BRIT Award for Best Female Artist in 2008. Recognized for albums such as ‘Made Of Bricks’ and ‘My Best Friend Is You’, Kate Nash will be taking her second album to the British public in October for a full tour.
