Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is a unique concept bringing music lovers, with varying degrees of experience, together with professional rock ‘n roll stars, fulfilling every wannabe rock star’s dream to perform on stage with living legends in the music world. Jam with your band mates and learn about the many facets of the music business. Even if you don’t play an instrument, you can find your niche at a Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp – possibly as a backup singer or playing the tambourine on stage with the band.
Campers are placed in a band, under the guidance of a rock star counselor, for the duration of the camp. Celebrity musicians will instruct the groups, which are kept small to allow personal instruction. You will write and play your own original composition and will get to perform live on stage at sold out rock venues. You will enjoy ten or more hours of jam sessions with your band mates and rock star counselor, as well as rehearsal time at professional studios. Gain first hand knowledge as to how bands record their albums, and you will receive a souvenir DVD of you jamming along with the band. All campers and participating celebrity musicians spend mealtimes together, allowing plenty of opportunities for photos and autographs.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp was created more than ten years ago by David Fishof, who after decades of working with legendary rockers, decided to put his efforts into making wannabe rock stars’ dreams come true. Past Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camps have featured a host of celebrities including Roger Daltry, Slash, Vince Neil, Joe Walsh, Jack Blades, Paul Stanley, Bill Wyman, Cliff Williams and Nick Mason. Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camps have taken place at the Hit Factory in New York City, SIR Studios in Los Angeles, Abbey Road Studios in London, House of Blues in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as B.B. Kings in New York.
Starting 9 July 2008 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp will be visiting Boston, Baltimore, New York City, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, New Orleans, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The upcoming Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp Tour will feature Gilby Clarke, Earl Slick, Dave Ellefson, Glen Hughes, Chris Slade, Mark Hudson, Kit Winger, Elliot Easton and Mark Slaughter.
