2011 Ultra Music Festival

Downtown Miami, Florida, will be transformed into an alternative music extravaganza from the 25th to the 27th of March 2011. What started as a one day festival in 1999, grew into a two day festival in 2007, and will now be a three day festival of entertainment and music. It was usually hosted during the Winter Music Conference, but that too has now changed and since its humble beginnings it has developed into one of the foremost alternative music festivals ever. More than a hundred thousand music enthusiasts attended the festival last year. With a star studded line-up this year, it is expected that those numbers will increase.

The first artists to confirm their presence at the 2011 Ultra Music Festival included the Chemical Brothers, Empire of the Sun, Deadmau5, Crystal Castles, NERO, Carl Cox, Tiesto, David Guetta, Rusko , Will.I.Am and Chromeo. But on the 1st of February 2011, an additional list of artists was released, namely Disco Biscuits, Sasha, Kaskade, Moby, Duran Duran and Cut Copy. These artists, however, are just the tip of the iceberg, as the festival announced that it would be the biggest line-up of international artists ever to grace the stage of the Ultra Music Festival. Other performances to look forward to will be artists such as Martin Solveig, Alex Gaudino, Erasure, Chris Lake, Joris Voorn, Wolfgang Gardiner, Afrojack, Ferry Corsten and TInie Tempha to name but a few. In anticipation of the festival, organizers released a number of early bird tickets for the fans, and within a mere five hours the tickets were sold out.

The three days of the festivals will be filled with massive line-ups of spectacular artists, ensuring that each day will be a energetic and breathtaking as the rest. With over three hundred bands, artists and world famous DJs taking to the stage, music lovers can look forward to thirty-two hours of music and entertainment. Organizers have stated on the official website that with the line-up they have confirmed for this year’s event, it is most definitely going to be the best Ultra Music Festival that has ever been hosted.
