Duffy Returns To Complete Tour In UK

Welsh singer-songwriter Duffy is probably best known for her number one pop single ‘Mercy’. While she is still relatively new on the music scene, her music and live performances are absolutely blowing audiences away. British fans are no-doubt excited to hear that she’ll be returning from America soon to tour the U.K.

Duffy was born Aimée Anne Duffy on 23 June 1984 in Bangor, Wales. This fascinating songstress has put Wales back on the map with her absolutely soulful sound in her hit song ‘Mercy’. The song was her second single and it now has the distinction of making her the first female from Wales to achieve a number one pop single in the past 25 years! Duffy also made her debut on the U.K. Album Charts at number one shortly after releasing her album Rockferry. The album has since sold more than 3.5 million copies all over the world – a clear indication of her instantly recognizable sound.

Now it seems that Duffy is ready to return to her homeland after some time recently spent in America. Duffy has been hard at work with Steve Booker – the same co-writer who helped her to produce her number one smash hit ‘Mercy’ – creating her latest material entitled “Rain On Your Parade”. The new material is due to be released on November 17 and is a part of the upcoming deluxe edition of her original ‘Rockferry’ album. The deluxe edition will feature two-discs with seven new tracks, to be released on November 24.

In conjunction with the new release, Duffy will be hitting the UK for a full tour. The tour will kick off at Olympia, Dublin, on November 24 before moving on to George’s Market in Belfast on November 25. After that it’s off to Leeds Academy (November 28) and Apollo, Manchester, where she’ll be playing two dates (November 29 & 30). In December she’ll continue to tour the country, stopping off at Academy in Glasgow (December 2) and Academy in Newcastle (December 3). She’ll be doing two shows at Wolves Civic in Wolverhampton (December 4 & 5) before moving on to Newport Center in Newport (December 7) and ending at Brixton Academy, London (December 8 & 9). Make sure you don’t miss out on this great tour!
