Underage Festival 2010

The Underage Festival was created to provide younger music lovers with the opportunity to enjoy live performances in a safe and secure environment. On the 1st of August, the 2010 Underage Festivals will be held at Victoria Park, in Hackney, London, and with its strict rules and security regulations, only spectators between the ages of fourteen and eighteen will be given access to the festival. All illegal substances, such as alcohol and bottles, will not be permitted onto the premises, as refreshment stalls will be available at the festival.

Various stages will be set up around the park, allowing festival goers to move from one musical extravaganza to the next. There will be a Tango Stage, Youth Music Stage, Topman CTRL Stage and a Converse Stage, with top musical performances to look forward to on each stage. Some of the performers and artists who have been confirmed for the 2010 Underage Festival, includes New Young Pony Club, Chiddy Bang, Sub Focus, Rox, Everything Everything, Gold Panda, Twizzle, Erik Hassle, Stornoway, Lomax, M.I.A, Courteeners, Hadouken, Lightspeed Champion, Darwin Deez, Greenmoney, Late of the Pier Sound System, Chrystal Castles, Daisy Dares You and Egyptian Hip Hop, to name but a few. Organisers are anticipating an attendance of approximately ten thousand children, and parents and guardians are not allowed to accompany their children. Even though this might be a daunting thought for some, the music festival was created to give them a sense of freedom and independence, but has a very high security presence to set parents’ minds at ease. There will be supervised drop-off and collection points at the festival, as well as health and welfare facilities, first aid, public telephones, child protection services and strict security procedures.

The Underage Festival will provide the younger generation with non-stop entertainment and breathtaking live music performances together with convenient facilities, under the umbrella of protection provided by the festival organisers. It is guaranteed to be an evening to remember, and is an event that all teenagers look forward to. Tickets have already gone on sale, and parents can secure a place for their children by logging onto the ticket sales websites to avoid disappointment.
